That he did.

>Fenomeno
>The Serious One
>Owner was a Japanese Nationalist type who instilled those values into his horse
>The horse is legit mean to foreigners and tourists
>All black to Golshi's all white
>Was a Boss Horse and didn't get on well with Golshi due to it, Boss Rivalry
>Extended to their teams. Gold Ship’s groom said in an interview before the 2013 Takarazuka Kinen: “We don’t want to lose to that horse.”
>In the end Gold Ship still lost to him 2 to 3.
>His version of 'retirement' was becoming a traffic horse

>Nakayama Festa
>The Gambler
>“when [Nakayama Festa] hits the jackpot, he really hits the jackpot”
>“pursues the thrill of not knowing whether he’ll win or lose”.
>Temperamental asshole
>He is one of three Japanese horses to have finished second in the Arc, coming after El Condor Pasa and preceding Orfevre(‘s two second place finishes).
>Not the best, not the worst
>Chilled out a lot when he retired

>Orfevre
>The Prize Winner
>Triple Crown Champion
>Six G1 Wins
>Did well in the Arc
>Outside of that? Kind of a bitch
>Most docile (off the track) of the Stay Gold kids, remarkably mean to his jockey though. Lots of stories about that.
>Nice to women (human)
>Became a lackey of Tosen Jordan because Tosen Jordan would protect him
>Legendary talent in a rather meek little shell

>Dream Journey
>SMALL
>Super angry, labelled one of the worst in Japanese History
>Easily the most hard to handle of the Stay Gold kids, not in a funny way like Golshi- Just genuinely awful.
>Being so small gave him difficulties in mating
>His team say this "hurt his pride"
>Not dumb though, His groom said: “He could survive even if we just left him there.”
>His old jockey (Orfevre's) was always careful when visiting him, lest Journey try to kill him. (or bite a finger off, if nothing else).

>Golshi
>Need I say more?

(2/2)

>He is famous for being a late bloomer, only reaching his peak at 7Y.
>He ran from 1996-2001, competing in 20 G1 races.
>He is the first Japanese-bred, Japanese trained horse to win a foreign GI race.
>He has the tendency to bite horses in front of him. One famous example is he attempted to bite Special Week’s tail in the 1998 Japan Cup, not only causing himself to lose terribly, but may also caused Special Week to lose the race.
>For some unknown reason, Stay Gold runs extremely well when facing a horse from Godolphin.
>Examples include defeating Fantastic Light (which was one of the strongest horses in the world at the time) in the 2001 Dubai Sheema Classic, and defeating Ekraar miraculously in the 2001 Hong Kong Vase.
>Some of Stay Gold’s children seem to inherit this “skill”, such as Stay Foolish.
>Has the tendency to lean left when running, the problem is quite serious.
>His leaning problem almost killed Narita Top Road and the jockey Kunihiko Watanabe in the 2001 Kyoto Daishoten.
>The real horse has serious travel sickness. It’s said the reason why he performed better overseas is because he got less rebellious due to travel sickness.
>He is totally fine with the gates, and would enter the gate by himself swiftly and efficiently.
>He can turn his head almost 180 degrees and bite the ones who attempt to touch him from behind his neck.
>He is the father of multiple GI-winning horses, including: Dream Journey, Fenomeno, Gold Ship, Nakayama Festa, Orfevre.
>He mixed very well with the daughters of Mejiro McQueen, especially with Oriental Art (the mother of Dream Journey / Orfevre siblings).
>Oriental Art passed away on March 7, 2015 after giving birth to a son sired by Stay Gold, which was about a month after Stay Gold’s death. Oriental Art foaled seven children from Stay Gold, and is considered Stay Gold’s wife.
>Golshi's mother is sometimes considered this too, (Point Break)

Just different sources of inspiration for each racing attire.

>Stay Gold: Travelled a lot over-seas, thus a more adventurer-esque outfit.
>Nakayama Festa: Mixes aspects of Nakayama into their design along-side their reputation as a Gambler honse. (fans often called their wins 'Festa hitting the jackpot')
>Orfevre: Triple Crown horses have a habit of getting royal outfits in this franchise. Bit random beyond that.
>Dream Journey: Meant to give a mysterious vibe, also includes the shortness of the real horse. Not sure why they went with intellectual glasses though, Journey was infamously the angriest of all of Stay Gold's kiddo's.
>Fenomeno: As said in an above post, the uniform mixes that they were a traffic horse in retirement and that their owner is a known nationalist.

Stay Gold Factoids (3/3)

>He has the tendency to bite horses in front of him. One famous example is he attempted to bite Special Week’s tail in the 1998 Japan Cup, not only causing himself to lose terribly, but may also caused Special Week to lose the race.
>For some unknown reason, Stay Gold runs extremely well when facing a horse from Godolphin.
>Examples include defeating Fantastic Light (which was one of the strongest horses in the world at the time) in the 2001 Dubai Sheema Classic, and defeating Ekraar miraculously in the 2001 Hong Kong Vase.
>One explanation is that Stay Gold doesn’t like the blue jockey shirt wear by Godolphin jockeys.
>Another explanation is that because Stay Gold is very prone to travel sickness, he actually became easier to control and exert better in overseas races.
>Unlike Golshi, he is totally fine with the gates, and would enter the gate by himself without the jockey's command - swiftly and efficiently.
>He can turn his head almost 180 degrees and bite the ones who attempt to touch him from behind his neck.
Oriental Art foaled seven children from Stay Gold, and is considered Stay Gold’s true wife.
>Another 'wife' candidate is Gold Ship’s mother, Point Flag.
