Where does the money in horse racing come from? As in how is it economical to buy a horse for several hundred thousands if not millions of dollars? I know the races have prizepools, but those are usually only a few million and not enough to offset the cost of the horse.
And sure, you can make huge amounts of money by breeding your successful racehorse, but that still begs the same question. Why are people willing to pay so much for a racehorse?
Is it just some massive cyclical scheme? Buy a racehorse to breed it and sell it to other people trying to profit by doing the same thing? Are racehorses literally just crypto?

is it okay to try and get her to 600 in every relevant stat like speed, stam, power and wit for the sweet 3 star sparks?
also should I make her a pace instead of end if one of my legacies can get her an A in pace?

Honestly fascinating. For context: I don't give a shit for any of them, smell, feet or shoes, but I find it fascinating on a psychology level.
