Where does the money in horse racing come from? As in how is it economical to buy a horse for several hundred thousands if not millions of dollars? I know the races have prizepools, but those are usually only a few million and not enough to offset the cost of the horse.
And sure, you can make huge amounts of money by breeding your successful racehorse, but that still begs the same question. Why are people willing to pay so much for a racehorse?
Is it just some massive cyclical scheme? Buy a racehorse to breed it and sell it to other people trying to profit by doing the same thing? Are racehorses literally just crypto?

When starting a career, I like to do recreation first for a mood boost. Think I read somewhere that better mood means better gains, so might as well get it early.
Sucks when the mood boost comes with an energy refill, though.
