Hate when normies say this, I tried it. Was one of the biggest humiliation rituals of my life. All the good volunteer roles REQUIRE good references and don't accept you if you don't have experience in whatever, the one I managed to get (BHF shop) treated me like utter shit so I just stopped going after like 4-5 times. If it ever comes to it I'll just make something up as references and experience.
