It gives the illusion of safety while providing jobs for thousands of plebs who would otherwise be unemployed.

Well, for a start, the bus terminated early due to roadworks (checked on google maps just before I left, didn't mention anything about that), so even though I left way early, I still had to scurry around the streets of London like a rabid sewer rat trying to get there on time, getting lost and having to backtrack a couple of times. Still made it a few minutes early, but I think it left a bad impression because everyone else was already there (group interview).
Also, I was very sweaty and the male interviewer made some comment about it. I tried to turn it into a joke and say that I was just getting my morning laps in, but he looked at me like I was a fucking weirdo and we moved on.
>interview starts okay
>he asks me basic questions and i reply
>brings up some hypothetical scenario and asks me about the ideal way to respond
>i begin answering, but panic halfway through
>completely forget the question he asked me
>this happens once more later in the interview
>didn't manage to build any rapport with either of the interviewers
>some of the other people in the group interview were 6'5" giga niggas who completely mogged me (and obviously got the job)
Basically, I shouldn't have bothered leaving the house this morning.

>Pfff. She slammed a 80+ year old man. Even for thaf only she deserved something harsher.
You are right, but the flip side of that is that the victim was an 88 year old man who was already in poor health and didn't die directly from the result of his injuries, so it would have extremely difficult to get any kind of murder/manslaughter charge to stick.
The main problem is that the UK is very reluctant to put people in prison at the moment because we are at almost 100% capacity and have no more space for prisoners. It's gotten so bad that the government is actually shortening prison sentences to free up space. In order to get a custodial sentence at the moment, you have to do something really extreme, like say mean things about Muslims on twitter.

I'm already sweating and it's not even 10am.
My instincts tell me that the world should not be this way.

They got one in 1999 though (the Senedd). It was a dark day for these United Kingdoms.

>tea so good that Asians offer it up to their gods
Kinda strange, but at least the gods aren't coffee drinkers. Should tell them to offer up some Scottish shortbread and fine English fudge next time they have a good harvest season.
