>be legally obliged to release server software
>"but don't worry bro you don't have to patch it or anything, just leave it to the players"
>2 years later there are so many exploits that merely playing the game puts you at risk of people running arbitrary code in your system
>little Jimmy gets hacked and the money of his parents is stolen
>they sue your company back to the stone ages
>"b-but judge bro the players said I didn't have to patch the game look it's the heckin SKG movement, the youtuber man said it was up to the players to patch the game and I would not be responsible anymore!!!! I thought the gaymers were above consumer laws come on!!!!"

If you have at least 80 IQ this entire thing looks like a joke

KEEP KILLING GAMES. Always-online games should be ephemeral and transient. That is what makes them precious and valuable.

Your pitiful initiative has barely amassed 1 million of signatures, most of which are invalid and fraudulent. It isn't enough to even start the first battle, let alone win the war.

I shall win the war. Online games will remain precious, transient and ephemeral as they should be.

I've already sent reports to EU governments with links to threads where anons claim to have created fraudulent signatures. And I will keep putting effort into raising awareness that sometimes it is a good thing that a game should have an expiration date, so long as it is transparent about that when purchasing something.

Finally: don't forget that everyone supporting this bullshit is doing it because they follow ecelebs like pewdiepie or cr1tikal. This thread is 90% tourists.

Any good local co-op game for me to play with my girlfriend? We play a lot of PlateUp, Stardew Valley, Moving Out, that sort of game. She can't play anything 3D because her coordination is awful.
