It feels like people misunderstand what hololive is and just assume they're twitch streamers (they don't even stream on twitch) instead of general idol personalities aka relatively cheap advertisement like idols you'd find in Japan.

Twitch streamers are generally insufferable. I only bother with Hololive since at least they actively discourage sending in SCs /donations due to being properly paid by a corpo. Plus they do things besides gaming, like their upcoming second collab with the Dodgers.
