Can people in the fandom please stop acting like Dess/UNUSED literally being trapped in the code of the game is canon?
>Nothing in the dialogue indicates the speaker is lost "in the code". It's "unused" dialogue you have to look in the code to find, yes but that doesn't mean it's a meta thing and having to open the code is diegetic. The dialogue points heavily more towards it being a Dark World than anything.
>If it were happening concurrently with the game, Chapter 1's unused dialogue would make no sense. It reads as if she just realized she doesn't know where she is, and Dess has been missing for years in the story. She wouldn't act like she just stepped into the darkness if she's already been there for years. (I see "she's talking in the code throughout the chapters" used to debunk her being the knight all the time when the messages being from the past literally makes more sense than them being concurrent)
>The "scratching" being us looking through the code isn't necessarily true either, scratching is a thing associated with cats, and we have an established schizo lore cat character that lives in deep darknesses. One that likely has a pointed tail and fits the bill for something Dess could've gone missing following.
I swear this shit is like "the red soul is determination" but worse. I love HalfBread but that goner code video did irreparable damage to people's comprehension of events.
