Checked the threads on /v/ about the news and this seems to be about optics. The whole move is lip-service to save face, because some devs were indiscrete enough to name their games things like "Futa Incest Daughter Training" "Slave Futa Cock Father: Adventure" and other unhinged shit like this in the title. Furthermore, said games also were abandoned assetflips with 3D pre-made assets. Other explicitly incest games that weren't so blatantly shovelware are fine, including porn and non-porn ones. Nemlei did the right thing because the game description and images focus on horror, like I said, optics here is the key. Steam knows they can't piss off their userbase.

Nonetheless I think Nemlei should put their games again on Itch.io, including TCOAAL. Steam (and any company) is only as good as you keep them in check and make them know they have competition that can made them lose millions. You should never make them think you're 100% dependent on them.
