Really? if they started out with 800 million, which is almost 2.5 the current US pop, and covered most of the East East megalopolis of the US, then it seems like it should have been pretty packed. 200K wouldn't even be the largest city in most US states.

No, a megacity is just a generic term these days.
The strip directly says it takes place in Kinshasa, the current capital of the Congo.
Simba City would be the closest, but I'm not sure that was ever developed by any of the writers.
Now that I'm thinking about which Megacities have never been touched on?
