You know, the more I think about it, the more I believe that something catastrophic happens if Kris enters a Dark World without the SOUL. Kris seems to be able to abuse the cutscenes and the Player's UI to take the SOUL out in the Light World (Bathroom scene and Guitar Code scene), and in the end of Chapter 2 Kris makes a dark fountain, but makes sure to put (You) back in before the entire living room gets Darker than Dark. I think if the consequences were just not being able to seal fountains without (You)r light, Kris would just carry (You) around in the birdcage and speedrun (You) to a fountain to be sealed.

I think that having a SOUL is what determines who is a Lightner and who is a Darkner in a Dark World. The only things that are Lightners in a Dark World are beings with SOULs (Susie, Noelle, Berdly, etc.) while common objects like cards become Darkners, which definitely do not have SOULs; they're not alive. And Darkners transform into characters with goals, dreams, and ambitions when it gets Darker than Dark. What if whatever happened to the Roaring Knight to become that fucked up is something that could happen if Kris enters a Dark World without a SOUL?

Krusie is my favorite relationship out of all of them, but I just don't think the dog has the balls to sink Suselle. At most, it would be ambiguous in the truest and best ending. This isn't Tony's first rodeo with the wild and rabid whims of the internet, I just can't see something set up as early as Chapter 1 being dumped to the wayside.
