The game's meta is to stack as many buffs as possible, as soon as possible, for a singular gigantic hit. With that, you want your healers to be able to provide support with their heals.
A pure healer takes away what could be another support slot for either an extra buff or debuff.
The only time we actually need healers is when we're underpowered for a fight.
