Is USUM the biggest grift of the franchise? Full price for a hard mode release that made the story worse and didn't finish the clearly unfinished region. They didn't even fix the railroading and tutorial hell in the slightest, Gen 7 was so close to being good, but in just ended up being the Skyward Sword of the Pokemon series.

I don't hate Kalos but this is a nonsense take and a losing battle. Both BW/2 might be shorter games but they crammed a lot more flavor and doohickeys into the main campaing than XY with things like bridges (like how the one at the end of that pitiful route everyone hates) more dungeons, and they even saved a fraction of the map for post-game, something XY can't boast with the scrapped Southern region thing being in the leak not helping at all. You wanna bash Unova, keep at it with the Route quality and the shitmons, that angle makes a lot more sense.

I really don't get the extreme animosity towards Megaman fans. After that whole Legends 3 fiasco, with both Inafune and Capcom betrayed them, it comes off as bullying an easy target cuz it annoys you.

That's the problem with this linear thinking, retcons keep piling up and shitting on things past, and fanboys buy it. I still think Crocodile was way cooler way back in Alabasta, with how he was one of the few villains that killed people, gave Luffy the biggest run for his money anyone else has so far, and how his plan actually made sense. But no, just cuz in Impel Down he gained a "Luffy ally" permit (comes with plot armor) and clashed his hook with a couple characters we were told had a bigger number than him, now he's impressive, and what he did in Alabasta didn't mean shit, he was supposed to be this scrub pre-Gear Luffy stomped, dude!!! Powerscaling is one hell of a drug man.
