Company Executives got gaslit by millennial leftists into believing that the best way to reach global appeal was to indescriminately make everything as gay and brown as possible. Targeting specific demographics is hard, so why not try to target everyone?
What they didn't realize is that the people they were hiring were Californians making content that only other Californians would ever want to consume, and the PR they hired was wildly out of touch with pretty much every other culture on earth.
Unfortunately the companies didn't realize that until they'd already fired everyone competent so now they're stuck doing a big brown gay.
