Right now the board feels dead because there’s a shifting narrative. Trump met with Putin and Zelensky wore more than a t-shirt, so there could be a big change in the war in Ukraine. Simultaneously there are things happening in the Middle East, with Netanyahu ramping up plans to attack Iran.

Just because there are plans and signs that changes could be on the way doesn’t mean those things will definitely happen. But they could, so everything is on hold until they do. Political narratives can’t form until these things actually start happening. Until then, the board will feel dead or in limbo or something.

The same thing happened to a group of my friends in 1998 in New Orleans. The city had enacted an 8pm curfew becaus of “teen” crime.
