The thing about knowing Yuta and counting the days seems movie inspired. I don't mind, I liked Tails in movie 2 and I didn't think of it as that big of a departure, unlike Sonic, Eggman, and Knuckles. And the manga generally feels closer to the games outside of that

I prefer Classic, Adventure and Rush style gameplay too but Colors is still fun. I don't even consider it a normal boost game like Unleashed since the focus is on the 2D platforming rather than the boost mechanic for most of the game. Aside from the occasional quickstep or drift section in Colors the boost is just one of the moves/attacks you can do, I consider it closer to a style of its own
