I'll chime in here. VGLco (more specifically the aesthetics team) contributes a lot of the technical and logistical work to get any invitational going. That includes streaming, cytube, emotes, making the final aesthetics packs, tactics nightlies, etc.
It's not impossible for /bag/ to do its own thing but logistically it's rather hard.
Speaking from experience when I signed up to do the first Kivotos Cup, there's a steep learning curve to make a team and then manage it. Even as /bag/'s full time manager, I am still learning the tricks of the trade. I did make mention that aesthetics of the team are transferable between cups but if anyone wants to do anything new or unique that isn't just copy pasting the old stuff, you'll want a lot of help.
And then you have things like team stadiums, the PV video, the final boss, etc. that were all made by VGLco's aesthetics group.
