The trick is to become remote work master race, which wasn't really feasible when Office Space was made. I used to work in an office and having to look busy when there was nothing to do was the worst part. Even when I didn't have to do that, like if my manager wasn't in, my downtime slacking off was limited to playing with my phone or reading a book. Now that I work at home I can still do those, plus I never have to deal with normie coworkers like back in the office, but I can also:
>do chores, it's amazing how much cleaner I am when I can clean on the clock
>shitpost
>play games
>watch TV/movies
>take a nap
>drink
Of course, this requires you to have a certain living situation. If you're in a cramped home full of other people constantly interrupting you it will still be stressful and annoying. But I live alone in a house big enough to have a room that is my dedicated office/vidya battlestation. My lifestyle is very similar to when I was a NEET except I need to have a normal sleep schedule and I have money.
