It does the job of all the other sentries, killing chaff, except worse, due to its incapability of killing chaff like terminid Warriors or Hive Guard in a quick way, same as Hunters or Pouncers.
Its better on Voteless, but thats it.

Even if they reduce the CD to that of the MG Sentry, there's no reason why I shouldn't use something that can kill chaff and also shoot at chaff past 5 meters.
MG Sentries can engage flying targets too, so Shriekers or Gunships can get fucked by them, and if unfortunate, Stingrays too.

It feels like it requires too much work and positioning to be "worthwhile", and even then, you're better off using the ballistic sentries, or the arc tower.
