I've worked as a car mechanic, worked at a bank, and after graduating worked at several architecture offices.
Noone in any of these professions actually worked the entire time. Each and everyone fucks around AT LEAST three hours each day. And when they work, it's typically at the slowest most fuckaboutery way possible. The intense focus works is maybe 3 hours per week. The hardest part of any job I've had was having to go to bed in time to be punctual and have enough energy during your free time to actually do something. And perhaps having an achievable long term goal to make it not feel pointless and remind yourself that you are not doing this for the (admittedly fucked) system.
