I have been using ant bait traps and they finally started working well, we used to kill hundreds a day, now we only see a couple at most.
I've been tempted to go on a calking rampage, but I'll probably need to talk to the land lord first, who's a 90 year old chinaman. Fun fact, he sends one of his goons every winter to crawl under my house to turn off the cold water pipes so they don't freeze, and I have to go in there every spring to turn it back on. It's like an eight meter belly-crawl through sharp-ass rocks and raccoon shit. I feel like I'm in a Vietnam spider hole every time I do it.
And yeah I've started using the sink we had installed a few years ago to clean the lizard.
