couldn't get near it tbqh, wasnt allowed to change UEFI mode
Anyways, it all seems to be working now, i shut the laptop down completely, left it for a minute and turned it back on
It booted up and finished installing an update (this is what may have fucked it as someone put the computer into sleep mode mid update)
Finished that shite, booted to desktop, ran the /sfc command and it fixed some minor errors apparently
Told them to save and back up anything important before they go switching it off again and fucking update it when it needs to instead of putting it off until it forces the update, usually at the worst possible fucking time
