I was ready for that organic storytelling to emerge but i really just was playing a card game. More in common with Solitaire than some immersive RPG.
What a card game to boot: Combine the salt pinch with the chicken feather to produce the fish bone, place it in the bucket for the dog to pick up and drop the key on its collar.
The primary gameplay is entirely constructed out of lunar logic and with the minimal written descriptions consisting of stuff like "peer beneath the skin of the world to unravel the eyelashes of flesh staring back with soul mysteries", yeah no i went back to play Sunless Skies. Was that supposed to be the renowned Kennedy who is so much better than the traitors who betrayed him? Sunless writing is descriptive enough to form a springboard for the imagination and vague enough to let it dive off.
Cultist Simulator, this title announces the dry mechanical experience inside. There is no need to be angry.
A rare opportunity to post my piece, thank you for the thread.
