If it's better to do it sooner why not?
>What lore? There's tons of lore in Fallout. All the prewar journals and computer entries, the environmental storytelling where you stumble across a location and find the decomposed corpse of a child, or a peeping tom in a bathroom, etc. That's all good stuff, plus there's post war lore too, lore regarding raider groups, lore regarding specific factions, etc.
They didn't really become hugely popular and successful until Skyrim for TES and Fallout 4 for FO. So it's not that they're riding the success of earlier entires, since only us weirdos played the earlier ones. Tood Howard always promises a whole ton of stuff but doesn't have a large enough dedicated team to work on them from the start, then gets all in a pankc and dumps manpower into the project towards the end and stops worrying about, like, game breaking bugs and what not. They also start cutting content but not ensuring they completely remove all of it from the game, so you'll catch strange references to things that were supposed to be in the game but ended up on the cutting room floor. And the things he promised, sure, they'll be in the game, but they'll be under developed and under utilized.
As for puzzles, Fallout doesn't have puzzles, that's a TES thing. But Impersonally the only games I ever played with a puzzle that really fucked me up were the first two SH games. But then again, I'm not playing those games for the puzzles. If I wanted that I'd just play an actual puzzle game.

Thise cannot compare to Zombie Bloodbath 1-3. Those movies were so bad I wouldn't even consider them movies. But I tend not to watch bad movies anymore. Too busy watching all that samurai cinema I love so much.
