That's the main thing. There's nothing wrong with having spiders in other worlds having their own adventures. Miguel and Mayday and even Miles, they all have places in many Anons' hearts for their original runs.
But when they're with Peter, it almost always goes south. Pic related isn't even 616, but it's like a multiversal constant that when a Peter Parker is in the same general area as an unrelated spider, he has to take backseat.
Even if the other spiders are written well, people will grow to resent them because of this. And when they keep pumping out media that keeps those other spiders glued to him at the hip...
