we have pretty liberal social laws and immense, unimaginable prosperity already and social isolation already exploded and people are more unhappy than they ever were.
And identity and belonging isn't even necessarily talking about friends anyways, but a tribe, a very extended family, a culture, also a goal that's bigger than yourself.
