I just keep playing my favorite vidya on Arch while reading how shit Windows became.
>Bitlocker turned on by default

It's crazy how huge Windows has fallen since 7.
I love every Dead Space except Ignition.

Daredevil shitting on them despite being average, and Gambit being another DPS that'll come before Rogue I assume , lmao.

Windows stopped ""just working""" since 8 and it gets shittier with each version. 11 is so shit you can't even make local account without terminal...and with pre-release versions you can't even make local account without regedit edit. The absolute state of modern Windows
ITT: vidya music unlike anything you have ever heard

>Throughout the first 2 acts have some of the characters try to approach me romantically outta nowhere
>"I'm not playing a dating sim lol get outta here"
>Even get the repec guy asking me why i'm not trying to get pussy

I like Metroid, even with the stupid desert. That's about it, though.

Doesn't matter but if you're tech noob pick something easy. If you're not, then Arch.

They nearly always made gaming look cool (arcades in movies). Also there were always chill games (that aren't women games only). Story of Seasons, Kyodai Mahjongg. Match Three games were huge in late 90s and early 2000s.
Global media only became shit when companies started making stuff for everyone at once that doesn't appeal to anyone. Same applies to movies and music. Also diversity hiring and forced checks. This is why successor games and music have a golden age now. A lot of people want to ""go back"".

Most people including me played this on PC as a kid back then which was objectively dogshit by modern standards. No piss filter, no widescreen, 25fps etc... So considering that:
>Play the PC version with modpack
or
>Play the remaster with radio mod
or
>PS2 version with widescreen patch
>Let's see what's on the catalog today
>Silk Song
>Silk Song
>Silk Song
>Poorly disguised fetish thread
>More Silk Song
Seems about right.
Games for when you get fired and have to move back in with your parents?

Other than technology near everything went to shit. Games, music, movies, shows... but the best thing is that it has never been easier to experience old stuff. You can play old games with better faithful graphics, source ports without dealing with drivers etc... Watching whatever movies and shows on your TV at any time you want and listening any music you want. Point is that you CAN simulate soul.

Okay but that's way too wannabe CRT. It didn't look like that. I'm glad we have retro PC emulation regardless.
>>718951779
It's a VM that emulates old hardware thus you can install Windows 95-98 on it and even play OpenGL and Glide games. I kinda dream about buying a mid PC just for this purpose.
>Inb4 it's pointless
Considering how you can hack modern Windows and theme Linux into Win95-98....yes....but still.

>make new ARPG at a time where ARPGs are in dire straits
>DON'T cater it to new players
>instead just force your current playerbase to split
>normgroids are still just playing gacha or diablo 2 (remaster)

People are scared of learning new things even while it's 80% the same (with the right DE) and they had to learn Windows too. Also because Windows isn't THAT shit yet. With LTSC and hacks you can make it into Win7 which was the best. Also anti cheats.

Duckstation dev should have just cancelled Wayland support. But also some Arch users are stupid for using AUR when appimage exist of the speicfic app.

I haven't played any games released in 2025.
Can someone give me a rundown of the Stop Killing games thing. I have completely avoided it.
Yes, I live under a rock.
I play both retro and modern games.

>do you know they spend more time on the cash shop
Considering it's the only thing that fucking works when some of these games launch, YES. YES I DO.
I interact with a lot of random normals in my day to day so I just try to avoid the topic of video games all together because I don't want to hear about fifa or cod. Same with anime and most things really.

I mean my gaming moment peaked with CSS and TF2 back on WinXP with online friends but I don't specifically have a favorite time period. In modern times we can always go back and it's easier now than back then.
>Windows
XP peaked by soul but 7 peaked by accessibility. Both had classic theme so vaporwave is right there. Windows since 8 sucks ass so I went to Linux.
