It was a brief five-six year period between Sony censoring games and Nintendo taking them in, and Nintendo turning on them as well. It's small wonder that Takaki saw no point in trying to continue Senran Kagura on other platforms and why other ecchi game publishers such as Compile Heart and Inti Creates decided to just bow down to Sony and censor their games instead of trying to move platforms to continue making ecchi games. They knew as soon as Sony got the ball rolling, their time was limited and they would soon be locked out completely.

Senran Kagura was killed by platform holders becoming hostile to its concept. There was nothing Senran Kagura could have done that would have made platform holders any less hostile to its entire concept other than sacrificing that concept, and thus its identity itself. As long as Senran Kagura remained Senran Kagura, Sony would have killed it regardless, and there was nothing the devs and publishers could do because Sony, as well as Nintendo and Valve reserve the right to refuse access to their platforms for any reason. As long as that remains true, it will not come back. The concept of aggressive "brand protection" and private companies with market monopolies being allowed to dictate content must die for Senran Kagura to come back, because otherwise they will always bend to the will of activists.

What did you expect? Mobile is literally the only remaining platform you can still make games like Senran Kagura. Every single legacy platform - Sony, Nintendo, Xbox, Steam, would without exception ban a new Senran Kagura game. The powers that be have decided that gachashit is the only place you're allowed to have fanservice now.

And? That doesn't make Snoy "le epic savior of Japanese games", it just means that the window of expression has shrunk even further now that there are zero platforms that will take what Sony banned in 2018 and now one pushing the envelope even further much like Sony's own position back then. If we're extremely unlucky, Nintendo's even more restrictive policies will eventually be taken up by the rest of the industry like Sony's were and then even stuff like Neptunia will become impossible to release.

Safe horny is any horniness made by complying with middlemen restrictions. Middlemen restrictions have been from platforms holders (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Steam, Apple, Google), payment processors (VISA, Mastercard, Paypal, Stripe) consultants, and localizers. Examples:

They already effectively did, they just did it through corporate rather than government censorship. You can't make anything like Senran Kagura any more because it gets blocked from every platform no matter what country you live in.
>>718623605
>yeah, I deplatformed your ecchi games and pozzed everything else with ESG/DEI, but it's not censorship because the government didn't do it directly.
Just like you redefined racism as "power plus privilege" specifically to exclude white people, you'll also redefine censorship to exclude the tactics you employed. Because you're venomous fucking snakes!

>Why do you so desperately want to live in a world where the big bad industry/jews/trannies have banned the things you like?
I fucking live in it right now. Senran Kagura was murdered by Sony in broad daylight. Gal*Gun is dead too for reasons already explained by Inti themselves. Dungeon Travelers got banned from Steam. Compile Heart cut most of the ecchi out of their recent games, and Tokyo Clanpool (a port of a game they released in 2017) recently got banned or censored by THREE different storefronts in THREE different countries. Even fucking Neptunia got banished from Nintendo consoles. You might have one or two supposed counterexamples (that are likely tame anyway), they don't erase what's been happening before our very eyes.

The franchise along with its entire niche got destroyed by Sony stomping on it. Takaki did not move the franchise off of Playstation because he foresaw that this kind of censorship would soon become industry standard, which it did as Microsoft, Steam and then Nintendo all eventually adopted similar policies heavily restricting or banning these games. They simply aren't allowed to exist any more.

He would have five years at most; in 2023 and 4 both Steam and Nintendo started banning even censored versions of Vita games. The reason Takaki did not continue is because he saw the writing on the wall. His peers likely thought similarly, judging by how they reacted. There is no way around it; for devs to feel comfortable making games like these again, they must be given actual assurance (in the form of legal leverage) that they will not get the rug pulled on them like this again. You must push for legislation to restrict these platforms ability to censor or deny games. No one is going to make a new console, and no storefront can compete with Steam's monopoly. It is the only option.

You'll have to find a way to beat Sony, Nintendo and Valve into submission, because they're the main ones keeping these games from coming westward, when they allow them to release at all.

You can try some other Compile Heart games like Mary Skelter and Omega Quintet (be warned that Mary Skelter 2 is censored on Steam, but there's a patch that's easy to apply). Otherwise, yes, that's it. These kinds of games largely stopped being made after Snoystation pulled the rug on them. Compile Heart games past 2020 are all extremely neutered, Marvelous dropped Senran completely, Inti Creates made a remake of the first Gal*Gun and then relegated it to spinoff fodder, Shade made one more neutered game (Samurai Maidens) and then folded, D3Publisher got a leash put on them by DEI-compromised Bandai Namco and are now just an Earth Defense Force machine, Aquaplus nearly went under, got bought out, and are now in the process of being sold off AGAIN, etc. Literally all that's left is qureate and even they may be starting to compromise.
>The Moero games (Censored IIRC)
Moero Chronicle is on Steam and is not censored IIRC. Moero Crystal is only on Switch and Vita. Same with Seven Pirates. Castle Panzers is doomed to forever be a JP-only PS4 exclusive after Tokyo Clanpool got raped.

This is the biggest obstacle to a Senran revival. Even if they're interested, there's not much they can do about the fact that every single major platform is actively hostile to games like it now. Takaki predicted this, which is why he gave up. Steam has gotten so bold they have zero reservations about fucking over one of the single most popular gacha games worldwide backed by a major Korean megacorp that they even have a working relationship with, they would dunk on Marvelous without a second thought.

You whip Sony, Valve and Nintendo execs until they promise to stop being fags and rescind their anti-Japanese censorship guidelines so the Japs can compete on an even playing field again. Or you just keep the reporting the chinkshit to Google/Apple until they completely nuke fanservice gachas off their stores. I genuinely want to see how the chinks will react to the same level of deplatforming the Japs have been going through. Because they've been getting off easy so far.

For about 5 years, then they would have turned on her even worse than Sony did. Takaki saw the writing on the wall and decided it wasn't worth it.
>>712895630
>People actually think Senran Kagura is going to revive on this piece of shit.
Takaki was right not to trust them.
>>712684375
>Senran Kagura didn't because Marvelous are retards
No, they didn't because Takaki predicted (correctly) that the censorship would not stay contained to Sony/Playstation and that every viable platform would soon adopt similar guidelines. So he saw no point trying to switch platforms just to have the rug pulled on him again down the line. Judging by how other otaku moe/fanservice game developers reacted as well (either neutering their content across the board or just not making such games altogether), his sentiment was shared by his peers.

Microsoft started this bullshit well before anyone else, but they barely dented these games as they were already largely on PS3/Vita by the time they started. When Sony pulled the rug, however, almost all games of this type were affected as they were all on Playstation.
