Explain it to me like I'm 5 years old
Why did the Anglos hold onto Northeastern Ireland instead of the area around Dublin? Wouldn't that make more sense since they've been colonizing it for so long? And it's like the main center of Ireland?

Why didn't Ireland revive the Irish language? Other countries like Finland and Estonia had their language suppressed and they didn't abandon their languages.

Ireland should have force an irish language revival by mandating that all government services be done through english upon getting independence. It's cucked speaking the language of your enemy.
John Davies said "We may conceive an hope that the next generation will in tongue and heart and every way else become English; so as there will be no difference or distinction but the Irish sea betwixt us."
It doesn't matter if Ireland gained independence, they still lost if they speak the language of their enemy.

Why didn't Ireland make any attempt to revive the Irish language after they got independence? The majority of Irish people kept speaking Irish even through hundreds of years of the english banning and suppressing the language and murdering people for speaking it.

Do you continue to hold grudges over things that happened to your ancestors?
Back in 2022, my favourite band Nine Inch Nails announced a tour in the UK. I really wanted to see them but since they were playing in England I refused to go. They eventually came to Dublin in 2025 and I saw them there. I've spoken to people in real life and online and when I find out they are english, I stop speaking to them immediately. I do not play video games, listen to music or watch films made by english people and I make sure the eggs and milk I buy are not from the UK and are from the EU (if there are no irish eggs or milk). I convinced my parents to send me to a gaelscoil (Irish language school) when I was 13. I also make throwaway accounts on tumblr, discord and reddit and seek out british transgenders to bully and abuse.
