Another example of medical research bias is circumcision. Mainstream sources recommend circumcision, all of them defer to the American Academy of Pediatrics which released a one page policy statement backed up by a 22 page epidemiological technical report. I'm not going to go on another massive rant about something that isn't incest related, but the summary is that the research of this document was insanely biased, had faulty methodology, didn't actually implement any controls, and in fact outright lied about the results of their study. The more you look under the veil, the more you realize that the so-called experts might not actually know what the fuck they're talking about. Another brief example is the motherfucker who pretended to be a psychologist as revenge against the field, and none of his "peers" questioned him when he said completely off-the-wall shit because he sounded like he knew what he was talking about and didn't want to look dumb or misinformed by not knowing his sources (he had none, he made everything the fuck up.)
