Too many survivors clones, metroidvanias, and isometric games. Too many games that look like low effort unreal engine asset flips with stock animations.
Nothing new I didn't already know about that really grabbed me, which is unusual for a next fest where I'll usually come away from them with at least 3 new games that I like so much I regularly check in on them before release. There was that one game called Beyond The Doors that's pretty cool where you set up modems like in Tunnet, but the fact that I almost forgot the name of it before making this post doesn't bode well for my long term interest.
Stuff that got demos that are day one purchases are things I knew I'd want before the next fest anyway like Alabaster Dawn, Escape From Ever After, Death in Abyss, and Shell Soldier.
All in all maybe I just didn't find the specific kind of games I was looking for but I really tried, I sorted by category and everything. I think the problem is me, I've already got way too many games I'm genuinely looking forward to right now to be interested in mid tier

games.
