Her skill is the thing that makes you shoot into the front on the final corner and you can inherit it if you have a 3* Maruzenski parent. Or you can borrow it from someone else. Debuffer is okay.

Since Oguri is easy to build you could put all your eggs in her basket. Just hit the stats you have now but give her red shift and if possible Professor of Curvature or Taikis Shooting for Victory Unique. These skills win you games.

the matchmaking is that each time you get put with 2 other players, fully at random, with no conditions at all.

your odds are probably better than you think to get good rewards, because the first 2 rounds you get 8 attempts each, and the best result is just winning 3 of them while you only need to win 1 to get a fine result. since there's only 3 participants, most people can end up in Group A at the same time. Technically some people will fail in Round 1 and 2, but with 8 attempts and only needing 1 success to win and luck being a factor (they even have random moon) even a dogshit player has a reasonable chance. Anyone that's actually played and isn't submitting C rank trash is gonna be fine.

the final round is basically all RNG, you have exactly 1 attempt against 2 other people and winner takes all. the best player in the world can still lose if they end up blocked, though blocked odds are lower with only 9 racists.

if it's truly the full first 2 days (aka round 1) yeah you just don't get to play CM. it's 2 days of 4 attempts each, then 2 days of 4 attempts each, then the finale. you can't move forward if you don't touch it during the previous segment, losing every time works but not touching it doesn't.

When they say "third place is 1200" that's not saying you need to do well to get on the podium either, it's a race between 3 players so 1200 is the literal minimum.
