This analysis is nonsensical.

Cream's character role is as the kid-sidekick to Amy, who is the Minnie Mouse to Sonic's Mickey Mouse. Cream is a young child who is orange-ish and/or yellow-ish in color with the ability to fly through the sky, and she's noted as being exceptionally gentle and soft in-contrast to both Sonic & Amy being rougher around the edges. In contrast to Amy in particular, Cream is cooler in temperament, with her politeness contrasting Amy's tomboyish attitude. But she follows in Amy's footsteps as a pure-hearted character with compassion. Similarly, Tails' own timid nature due to his background of being bullied, and his more analytical mind, contrasts Sonic's absolute self-confidence and impulsive urgency to get the job done as fast as possible. Sonic and Amy both rush head-first into danger while Tails and Cream are both more cautious and look before they leap.

It's not about copy-pasting Sonic or Tails onto a female template and calling it a day, that's not wat "Girl version" actually means here. Amy and Cream fill the corresponding roles to Sonic and Tails from a very feminine equivalent perspective, while also contrasting certain aspects of them.

And again, just to re-emphasize this point: Amy Rose does not want to bind Sonic. That was never true. Stop spreading lies about Amy.

Amy's character has been established since day one as a Cheerleader-like figure who is energetic, enthusiastic, and extremely passionate about Sonic and everything he does. Amy likes what Sonic does, who Sonic is, and would never change it for the world. Amy changes herself to be closer to Sonic, she doesn't wanna restrict him. Her SA1 story opens with her reminiscing about the excitement and thrill he brought to her life, to emphasize this quality of Amy herself. She loves the Sonic adventure, too. Battle showcases this as well by the sheer fact that she spends the entire game training herself down to the bone.

Basically, Amy is a girl who loves action and adventure. Sonic embodies that, so she's drawn to him. She's a young girl in love, so she talks about marriage, but she's not looking for a domestic life. She just wants to be with Sonic. Wherever he goes, she will follow. She's not trying to lock him down and impede on his freedom, this has been made clear already.

Like, how many times does this have to be emphasized? The basis of Amy's personality is her energy, she craves action and adventure. She's not one to just sit still and live a boring life. I feel like I'm talking in circles here. She wants Sonic to love her as much she loves him, not to force him into anything against his will or slow him down. Why would she want that? It just sounds like projecting what you expect any basic girl to want, onto Amy, as a way to write her off. Like all those comments using demeaning terms against women to describe how you see Amy.

The same applies to Amy. The difference is that Tails is Sonic's brother, and Amy is Sonic's "self-proclaimed girlfriend", but both simply want to be by Sonic's side and support him. Tails' desire to be like Sonic, and Amy's desire to be 'with' Sonic, lead to the same conclusion: They had to improve on themselves and become more independent, so they can be someone can rely on. Someone Sonic would have to catch up to. To reverse the narrative on what their relationship with Sonic has been like.

Amy is not Sally. Amy has no desire to force Sonic to settle down, she is not meant to be a narrative foil to Sonic any more than Tails is. Amy is simply an energetic girl who really loves Sonic, and there's not anything wrong with that premise. Amy should not be demonized for wearing her heart on her sleeve and being so passionate about it. Like I said, we already have it confirmed that Amy has no desire to anchor Sonic.

Her stories in SA1 and Heroes showcase that. SA1, she hates boredom and desires adventure. Sonic embodies that. But Sonic is always rescuing her, so she's just been a burden. Amy doesn't like that, so she resolved to be stronger so that Sonic would be the one admiring her from now on. Heroes, she's chasing after this whole-heartedly. She wants Sonic to recognize the young woman she's become, she's fighting her own battles and being a hero for her friends. Everything she does is driven by selfless love and compassion, with extreme intensity. And Cream is there as the Tails to her Sonic.

Cream is polite and disciplined where Amy is brash and tomboyish. Cream is not inherently "Better than Amy" simply cause she's not as "passionate" as she is. Like I said, it's just different temperaments. Quit demonizing passion.

Amy is always described as an uplifting cheerful character for those around her, and her love is pure and genuine. Amy is not a bad character.

The last thing Amy would ever want is to "settle down", she hates boring mundane normalcy. She wants FUN and ADVENTURE. THAT is who she is.

And again, I've already showed you this too, we literally have Amy Rose herself blatantly stating that she wants to watch Sonic run free. She does not, at all, want to tie Sonic down IN ANY WAY. SHE DOES NOT WANT TO ANCHOR THE WIND. Officially, Sonic Team and Amy herself makes that very clear. Amy loves Sonic for being Sonic, and wants Sonic to keep being Sonic. Amy loves Sonic for being Sonic, and she wants Sonic to keep being Sonic. What Amy wants is to follow Sonic, be part of his adventures. THAT is what her story in Sonic Adventure is about. She wants to be part of Sonic's adventures, that's what makes her feel alive. When she just got kidnapped and needed saving, she didn't like that, so she resolved to change that. So, she decides to become someone Sonic can respect, someone that can make Sonic chase after her instead.

In the end, Amy respects Sonic's freedom and wants to keep watching him run free. She'll just catch up if she has to.
