The Walkers are perfectly viable to run but they're also the most dollar expensive army build in the faction. Proxy or buy recasts if you don't want to spend like, 2 dollars per point.
The Hermes can be run as a long range suppression machine with the scatter laser or outflank with the grenade launchers and shoot tanks in the ass.
The Incursus is basically a Thallax with a Volkite Caliver and Inexorable. You can buy it a heavy flamer for 3 ppm if you want to use it to take objectives instead of hold them.
The Aethon can either be run with a flamethrower and rocket pods to status spam or be given 4 Hunterkillers and a melta lance to go tank hunting, they're the only war machine you can deploy in units of 1 to 3 but you want to always take 2 man squads.
Hermes pathfinders are a HQ choice which give all your other sentinels Firestorm, essentially doubling their firepower at close range. Sadly they're very squishy so you want to outflank them.
Recon cohorts let cavalry control objectives so you can actually try playing the mission and also let your sentinels evade as if they were I5 which let's them get closer somewhat safely.
