>had to be reminded *by kris* that monsters turn to dust after death
She doesn't need a reminder, she just doesn't immediately recognize Gerson's dust for what it is, because as she says, a monster's dust is supposed to be buried. Alvin is violating a major taboo, it wouldn't be Susie's first thought.
>fucking loathes kris before the events of the game for some unspecified reason
Kris sees through her bully facade and isn't afraid of her. Kris is a "weird kid" like her, but nobody shuns Kris like they shun her. Kris has a perfect mother who was nice to her once, but Kris gets to hold her hand walking to school every day, and get three meals a day from her, and know that she's there to feel safe and loved.
>parents move, often, for unspecified reasons
Susie is clearly a foster kid, she doesn't have real parents.
If one of her parents was a human, we would probably have heard about that and people wouldn't still be treating Kris like the only human in town.
