Honestly after playing it, I think it's going to get low 80s on Metacritic and will make people rethink the mania over Hollow Knight.
I've played for like two and a half hours and I had to basically force myself to even do that. I have zero desire to continue playing.

Every single aspect of this game is just designed to waste your time
>22 minutes and you restart from scratch
>oxygen and jetpack meters that last only a few minutes and require constant refill or you instadie
>constant time sensitive events like sand falling, sand rising, brittle hollow destruction, giant's deep islands flying up, interloper flying by sun, sun station, warp alignment, and sequential tasks
>multiple long, convuted paths that you must retread constantly to get one more tidbit of info or even have a brief attempt at a puzzle (if it even *is* a puzzle, or maybe it's a pointless dead end, or maybe you need to do something on the other side of the galaxy first, who knows)
>anglerfish where you can only tilt analog stick 1mm or they just instakill you
>glowing red (herring) light guarded by multiple anglerfish that amounts to absolutely nothing (not even the decency to give a shiplog so you just think you're missing something)
>magic reddit space computer tells you there is more to explore when it's a) on an entirely different planet and b) just lore flavor text anyways
>ghost matter to conveniently instakill you if you step one toe out of line
>need a special unlocked ability just to kill yourself and start a new loop
>even fucking waiting at campfire to skip time takes like 3 minutes straight of just staring at a timer tick up because it's so fucking slow
>overwhelming vast majority of shit in the game is utterly pointless aside from a bit of lore flavor text, a small minority is info (you can usually figure out yourself), and like 1% is critical path

I never understood the hate for ALTTP's graphics. They've always looked very clean, neat, stylized, charming, colorful, and quickly convey information at a glance.
So many games of that era, and even moreso now, focused on having realistic cutting-edge visuals, to the point where the screen just looks cluttered and messy.
