the FF7 demakes are shit games, and god-awful remakes, that are not even remakes.
Hell, their entire story is about some time-traveling niggers trying to PREVENT the original FF7's events from happening, all while causing new bullshit to appear.
So even if you keep up your emo teenager charade, you won't understand jack shit of what's going on in the remake if you do not play the one and only original FF7, which is the core foundation of the fucking saga.
Even then, you cannot ignore the completely butchered aesthetics, as none of the 1980's retro-future punk vibes being there, and Midgar instead being one part modern Tokyo, one part mid-20th century down-town London, with NONE of the grimy, seedy slums and tacked-on techno hellscapes the 1997 game had.
And this applies to the MONSTER designs as well, which were famously bonkers, and occasionally outright terrifying.
