well yeah it's not something magical, but there are still a lot of artists who do commisions with bodypillows so the trend didn't die that much, just fell into obscurity i suppose? besides it's not common (i think) to own a bodypillow in the first place, even for the weeb/gamer/merch folks, most of them just buy plushies of the things they like or pins and so on...it takes a really hard brainrot that overtakes you to truly get a bodypillow, in my opinion at least
