I realise it's a very 2deep4you point, but at the end of the day, nature can be reduced to that, by some cosmic horror, abiotic material assembled in such a way to allow self-replication. Everything since then has just been that first instruction repeating over and over in increasingly more complex organisms, and any kind of deviation from that code necessarily doesn't live on. Starfield sold becuase we were promised FO4 in space but got diversity simulator instead along with Bethesdamites doing their job. I dont think people will buy it just becuase its sci fi (Concord was sci fi).
