It’s funny you say that. Story time: I had epididymitis in college. Let me tell you it fucking HURTS, I mean standing legs straddled so my balls don’t touch my own thighs because the sensitivity and pain are so high. I ended up going to the hospital and the car ride was so painful I was literally writhing in the backseat.
However: about a year later I started getting intense pain in my lower abdomen and thought it might be EP again. I go to the hospital instead of ignoring or sleeping off like I normally would because I figured I know the cause and should get the same treatment. Imagine my shock when half a dozen nurses barge into my room to take me in for emergency surgery because my appendix was about to burst.
The doctor told me after the surgery that I was incredibly lucky. Had I waited literally ten minutes before coming in the appendix might’ve popped and poisoned my entire abdomen. So I try to view negatives as lessons for that exact reason: often times they are.
