Time and place for everything, sounds like the enemy is doing the right thing instead of just letting you funnel your creeps onto their obj.
But if you can keep the lane pushed more towards them, that gives you a bit more leniency than the enemy to go and mess with a camp, breakables etc
trust the process, if you're getting bumrushed to death every time, you're in the wrong for lingering out in the open, too far too much

the vehicles in turboblast slow down way too fast after boosting, so you just spend an entire lap snaking and cheesing the boost system and mashing buttons like you're playing smash bros
meanwhile in f-zero the vehicles have momentum that continues long after boosting and further boosts stack on the speed, even greater if you use the throttle cut trick. there is a rhythm to keeping the speed up. turboblast feels more like a mario kart boost system which idk, maybe it's better with multiplayer because you can't do bullshit gx techs but i want to go FAST
