It's the same issue I have with Sengoku's version of Yoshimoto, he was far from being the clown he is in the games, I get that exaggerating some traits if fun especially for people who're a bit savvy on history and historical gossip but sometimes KOEI goes too hard on that while fellating other characters ridiculously hard or worse, whitewashing them entirely like Ma Chao.

It's just like The Elder Scrolls with Oblivion and Skyrim, everybody loved Oblivion until Skyrim came out and btfo'd it and now nobody has anything more than a passing interesting in Oblivion, not even with the remaster.
It's the same with Baldur's Gate. Nobody gave a fuck about the 20 spinoffs and remakes that came after BG2, BG2 was considered the GOAT and always recommended, nobody ever cared about Dark Alliance or whatever. Then BG3 came out and steamrolled everything with 10 billion players, now nobody could give a rat's ass about BG2.
