When a fandom is allowed to fester in its own lies and misinformation long enough to consider their inane statements as “truth” it override any sense of reality and common sense. Star Wars like any movie was definitely improved in the edits as all movies are hence why edits exists. But fans and the internet in general like to hyperbole things. Especially after the manbaby outrage for the prequels made any criticism of George seem fair despite their obvious falsehoods and anti George biases.
