Should I get the Oxford edition? I saw posted on here that The Book of Mormon is considered unreadable; what is the best way to get into this classic text/sacred volume?

The Book of Mormon is a volume of Holy Scripture that was sealed by God to be revealed in the latter days. It is verily true. It is the Word of God unto the Lamanites, which are the original inhabitants of Africa.

Have any (real) Christians read the Book of Mormon? Were you worried that it could change your perspective? Did it?
