Anon, Final Fantasy VII does not have towers. FFVIIR does, though. I understand if you really don't like them, too. I'd recommend walking past them to address this issue, as they are a time saver, and not an essential mechanic. This does not remove them from the game, no. But it can allow you a bit of peace of mind. The game can still be explored naturally
