In fact wouldn't the entire Real Estate industry change? Waterfront property is at a premium. Why are banks offering 30 year mortgages on waterfront property? Aren't they worried about the island being under water so they have nothing to repossess? Wouldn't they make waterfront property cheaper if they thought there was a risk of rising sea levels?
