Okay so, legitimately, I'm wondering here
Why is every student in Gehenna a 'demon'? Why is everyone in Hyakkiyako a kemonomimi, and so on?
Does everyone unironically get sent to the school that matches their physical appearance when born? Are the student's parents all distinct races as well, to have certain schools' demographics be so heavily one 'race'? If Abydos had students transfer to other schools en masse, why aren't schools more demographically diverse?
in general, casters tend to need the mines more often cause the second spell on every caster thing is randomized, it's fairly frequent a good spell/incant they want is on a poopoo item that needs to go purple, if you're on crater you don't have to worry about this ofc
