Donald Oleasance was great, yes. His episode of Columbo is, like, the only one I really enjoyed. Hopefully they didn't learn their lesson and took their kids to see other extremely gory horror movies to traumatize them further.

Whike it is true these people should be removed from the general public and especially kept away from children, it is still a bad thing to have them raped and murdered. Once you allow the destruction of the most basic human right, that is the right to life, of even the worst kind of person, then you open the door to allowing the murders of anyone the state and broader society deems reprehensible. I actually believe in the full abolition of prisons and the disbanding of police forces. Laws are nothing more than threats of by the state which holds the monopoly on violence and those laws can and are used to manipulate society at large to persecute undesirables. At various times throughout history they have been used to persecute racial, ethnic, and religious minorities, homosexuals, women, those with serious mental illnesses, poor people, etc. We are seeing this exact thing in real time with the manipulation of laws designed to protect children to persecute drag queens (who are more often than not homosexuals) and trans people. Hell, Texas just tried to manipulate fraud laws to literally make being trans a felony.
