Imagine how much of a mindfuck it must have been to be a Zeek. You get one minimally competent dictator in Degwin but he dies in a “freak weapons testing accident” and is succeeded by the self-styled second coming of Hitler. He’s offed almost immediately by his sister, who in turn is murdered by the son of the Prime Minister of the previous regime. Then Casval and the rest of the GOI fuck off to an asteroid where he and some admiral’s daughter have this bizarre four year royal family shtick raising the niece of the supreme leader he wasted. Then HE fucks off, comes back after his pretend-wife gets killed, disappears AGAIN because of space magic, only to come back yet again in a wackier mask and an insane mullet — except that guy turned out to just be a clone, who ALSO disappears because of space magic.
The conspiracy theories must have been tame in comparison to reality.
