Diving into the gloom to retrieve samples just isnt fun

It just isnt fun anymore. And people are so fucking retarded. The newbiebrigade of lvl 30-70 just never do anything, just running around and eating up all the reinforcements. I drop into an SOS signal as the 4th man with no mission objectives done and already down to 1 reinforcement.
What do I do? What loadout do I pick?
I tried the flamethrower route, old reliable MG43, the autocannon. Stuff with a long reload is basically suicide. The last idea I have is to go for fire resistance armour, the double edged sickle and maybe the flamethrower or EAT to just constantly keep firing and shredding those armoured fuckers.
The best chance I have is for the brief moment Im in my Mech suit, but even that needs to be timed because if I dont get in immediately, a thousand bugs approach to tear the thing to shreds.
