To be honest, shit sucks, but it's really no different from killing floor 2, just more "futurised", that's the only real difference.
People expect it to go back to glory days but this shit will never happen and it's stupid to think so. You'd also expect some sort of evolution I suppose of the first and they did so by adding operators and skills. With that said, it's your generic continuation of franchise with minor changes to gameplay, it's not bad, but it's not good either, you might as well be playing the second one because differences are neglegable.
With how rough it looked initially, it seems the sequel wasn't even in plans, someone rushed them to make something for one reason or another (investors), and they slapped together bare bones functional product.
